On some of my char i cant see the resale and snatch options under the evaluators drop down menu, i thought it could be other addons effecting it so i tried deleting my interface folder and doing a fresh install of the auctioneer package that includes bottomscanner, it then shows the option but after logging out and back in again the are gone. Is bottomscanner still scanning properly if i cant see the options? On two of my chars they are always shown.

    Many thanks.

can you please check and see if the btmscan.lua file in your WTF folder is read-only? it sounds like the preferences aren't being saved properly. (for that matter, no file in the SV folders should be read only.)

Ok if i right click on the btmscan.lua and click properties, the Read-only box is unchecked.

    Hope this helped.

grr, i have no good ideas. can you take two screenshots, one of it working, and one of it now, and try to document EXACTLY what steps you took in between them?

Ok after deleting my WTF, cache and interface folders and installing the most recent auctioneer package(with BTMscan included) this is what my interface folder and addon screens looks like:

    After first login:

And after logging out, exiting game and logging back in and opening up the BTMscan options menu:

could it be only auctioneer and not all the modules are loaded?

I've seen this very intermittently for a while with resale. Reloadui usually fixes it. Since it seems to affect modules early in the .toc, I'm guessing it's something to do with their self-registration, but I can't see anything obviously wrong with the code.

type "/console reloadui" and see if they show up after reloading.

I've added a ticket for this issue: http://jira.norganna.org/browse/BTMS-48

It has to do with the order in which the addons load and if you are using enchantrix for your character. If you set enchantrix to 'load always' for a char and then logout/login, you will notice that resale and snatch are not there. If you turn enchantrix off and back on once you are logged in, then the resale and snatch options become available. You will be able to use enchantrix and the resale/snatch options with bottomscanner at the same time as long as you either manually start enchantrix after logging in or you toggle it once you are logged in.

    Ok, that makes no sense....

    That is really odd...
I do have this problem in Classic, it works fine in Advanced. For a long time I just thought they weren't meant to be enabled in Classic.

Auc Classic vs. Auc Advanced is possible -- some of the modules need Auc Advanced (and don't even make sense for Auc Classic).

But other than the btmscan disenchant modules, none should have any dependency on Enchantrix. (and I can't find a dependency in the code)

Looking at the code EvalResale should turn up in Classic, but it doesn't for me.
Trev's suggestion doesn't help. It doesn't show up with Enchantrix totally disabled even.

For a character that doesn't have the options using Auc Classic do this:

    1. /enchantrix off
    2. logoff
    3. login

Now you will see the options for resale, snatch, etc.

I use this workaround consistently with my characters that have the problem. I'm using the latest preview build of Auc Classic. I believe it's 2616.

Trev, that didn't work for me.
I worked out the problem... It happens if BTMscan loads before Auctioneer, so playing around with what addons you have enabled changes the order sometimes and might fix it, but it's not consistant.
What you need to do is open the BTMscan.toc file and add "Auctioneer" to the OptionalDep line and then it's fine.
I'll be updating the SVN version later today...
